MISSION STATEMENT
To ensure the protection of children from the damaging effects of abuse and neglect, to facilitate services within the community, to empower families to provide for their children in a safe environment and enable them to reach their full potential.
STATEMENT OF GOALS
- Protect by investigating abuse and neglect issues
- Resolve family issues by working with families, community services, schools, and the judicial system
- Offer support by supervising families progress in meeting the goals to keep their children safe
- Treat each family with respect and confidentiality by supporting safe alternatives to children if the family is unable to protect the child
- Educate the community in regard to child abuse and neglect laws and issues
- Create a community that builds strong families
- Together we will put the pieces in place to protect

WHAT DO WE DO?
- Since 1936, the Indiana County Children and Youth Services has provided services and programs for children and youth:
-Case management
-Placement Programs
- The Agency is part of a network of 67 publicly funded social services agencies representing each county in the Commonwealth, which provides services to children, youth, and families under legal mandate, the County Code, and Department of Public Welfare Regulations.
- OUR GOAL: to insure that each child has a permanent, legally assured family which protects the child from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
