BECOMING A FOSTER PARENT
The following information will be needed for the home study in order to learn more about you and your family. We will be asking many questions regarding your personal life. The following are some things we will want to talk to you about:

- Family background (where you grew up, family interactions and activities you were involved in)
- Marital relationship (how you resolve conflicts in the marriage, emotional maturity)
- Stability of employment and financial independence
- Type of neighborhood, play area, sleeping arrangements, description of the home and its condition
- Your expectations of foster children and their role in the family
- What you feel and how you would handle a child behavior and attitudes (i.e. lying, stealing, swearing and wetting the bed, etc.)
- Can you love a child that is not yours?
- Can you work with people that are different from you?
- Your family's view about education, discipline, etc.
- Other information that may be addressed during the home study
You will also need to provide the Agency with a copy of the following information:
- Financial information (latest 2 pay stubs and recent tax return)
- Car insurance and registration information
- Driver's licence
- Homeowner's insurance information
