Resource Family...What is it?
A family that will provide temporary foster or kinship care for children who need out-of-home placement and may eventually provide permanency for those children, including adoption.
What Will ICCYS Do?
Reimburse resource families for a child's clothing and room and board.
Arrange for insurance to cover their medical and dental
care. Provide placement supervision and support to the
foster family. Provide training for resource parents on
an ongoing basis to assist them in caring for foster children
Three Types of Resource Families
Foster Family: A temporary family providing care, nurturing and protection for children placed in foster care with a goal of returning to their natural family.

Kinship FamilyCare, nurturing, and protection by relatives, members of their tribe or clan, godparents, stepparents, or any adult who a has kinship bond with a child.

Adoptive Family: A family willing to provide permanent care, nurturing, and protection of a child that can no longer return to family members.
